Soldier’s Meadow Estate – Naturals, is a naturally processed arabica coffee, scoring 86+ by 3 cupping professionals!
This coffee is 100% organic, grown through forest style farming practices. It has the right amount of sweet and citrusy berry punch, balanced by smooth toffee sweetness and lingering peach aftertaste. It has interesting and comforting notes of caramel & bing cherries!

At our roastery, we perform 2 rounds of manual sorting of green beans, followed by 2 rounds of sorting roasted beans. This gives us a perfected roasted, quaker free, evenly roasted coffee.

LOCATION

Situated around a modest elevation of ~3400ft, in the remote corner of Mudigere, lies a lush and green Soldier's Meadow Estate. It is owned and taken care of by the Devaiah Family. They undertake one of the cleanest and most challenging ways of growing Chandragiri arabica beans, using 100% organic practices. They use locally sourced compost on all of their farms. Managing highly disease-susceptible Chandragiri arabica beans is no easy feat.

We bring to you one of their naturally processed arabica coffee. It has all the attributes of a true specialty coffee, scoring 86+ by 3 cupping professionals! It has the right amount of sweet and citrusy berry punch, balanced by smooth toffee sweetness and lingering peach aftertaste. It has an interesting and comforting notes of caramel & bing cherries!

We recommend this coffee via manual brews, preferably pour over and French press to make the most out of its flavors. This can work as a great espresso drink as well, if dialed in properly.

POUROVER

Device : V60 (02)
Coffee / Water ratio:
70gms / Litre
Grind Size: Medium Coarse (~sugar crystals)
Water Temp: 95-97 degrees
Water pour ratio: 60 second bloom with 20% water, followed by 2 swirling constant pours of 40% water, waiting for drawdown. If the drawdown is slow, grind coarser. Importantly, do not wait if the drawdown is crossing the expected total brew time, discard the remining wet grounds.
Expected Brew Time: 2:45-3:30 mins (Depending on 1 or 2 cup recipe)

 

 

 

FRENCH PRESS

Coffee / Water ratio: 75gms / Litre
Grind Size: Coarse (larger than sugar crystals)
Water Temp: 95-97 degrees
Steps:

  1. Pour all water at once into the French press container with coffee grounds and close the lid
  2. After 5 mins, take a spoon and push down the wet coffee grounds with a spoon
  3. After 3-4 mins, gently press the filter and pour
